How to split an existing workspace into several workspaces

Follow this guide to learn how to move your ad accounts and automation rules from one workspace to another

⚠️ Don’t Move Your Assets Before Reading This

1️⃣ If you have Post Boosting rules, Reports, Explorer, Top Creative and Top Audiences reports, Creative Testing and Bulk creation templates, Creative Sets, or Audiences and Custom Metrics, we DO NOT recommend switching your ad account from its current Workspace to move it to another.

Unlinking an ad account will cause:

  • Automated and Post boosting rules to turn into drafts

  • Reports, Explorer, Top Creative and Top Audiences reports to be deleted permanently

  • Creative Sets and Creative Testing templates to be deleted permanently

  • Audiences to be deleted permanently

2️⃣ If your rules use assets tied to a specific ad account, e.g. custom metrics, Appsflyer/Wicked Reports/ Hyros/ Adjust metrics, you will need recreate and reselect them in the rule copy. If the number of “specific ad account” assets is high, we DO NOT recommend moving rules from one Workspace to another to avoid service disruption while you recreate assets.

Custom metrics with ‘Workspace’ availability and custom timeframes will be copied together with the rule.

Please review the checklist above carefully to ensure no critical assets are lost. In case you choose to proceed with unlinking the ad account, you will need to re-create the assets listed above from scratch.

Switch ad accounts from one Workspace to another

  • Click on ✚ Add workspace, name the workspace, upload a logo (optional).

  • Add team members you’d like to work with in this workspace.

  • Go to Settings, find the ad accounts and pages you want to add, and link them to a new Workspace by clicking on the button with the Workspace name and selecting the new one you need from the list.

Move automated rules from one Workspace to another

  • Click ‘Duplicate’ next to a rule or a folder → ‘Duplicate to another workspace’. The copy will be saved in a new Workspace as a draft.

Once all rules are copied into the new Workspace , please check and reset the following settings inside them:

🎯 Scope

  • Select ad accounts in Scope

  • Check filters items in Scope and select specific ads/ad sets/campaigns if needed

🟰 Conditions

  • Reselect custom conversions/events

  • Reselect Hyros/Appsflyer/Wicked Reports/Adjust metrics

  • Recreate and reselect ‘Specific ad account’ custom metrics

🔔 Notifications

  • Check and reset the notification channels

  • Once you checked and reset the settings above, activate the rule
