This approach builds on the idea that new ads often get more impressions than older ones. So if an ad isn’t performing well, it might not be a bad ad - it could just be getting less visibility from Meta’s algorithm. If you think that’s the case, you can set up a rule to pause the underperforming ad and replace it with a fresh copy.
Here’s how to set up a rule that detects and adjusts the budget for ad set copies:
Select ads in the rule scope, add filters such as "Ad status is active", "Ad name contains" etc. if applicable:
Select "Duplicate" task and choose to duplicate "Once in a lifetime" while pausing original ad:
Set the conditions to duplicate and pause any ad that either:
Spent more than $5, has been running for over 24 hours, and has fewer than 1 link click
OR
Spent more than $5, has been running for over 24 hours, and the cost per link click is over $3:
