Items Not Matching the "Status is active” Filter in Meta Automated Rules

When building automated rules for Meta ads, it's important to keep in mind that the "Learning" delivery doesn't align with the "active" status returned by the Meta API. In fact, status-based filters behave quite differently between Ads Manager and the API.

As a workaround, we suggest using the "Campaign/Ad set/Ad delivery is not inactive" filter instead. This filter is broader and includes ad sets in learning, active, or limited delivery states, which should help the rule catch more relevant items.

Meta API documentation does not contain how API statuses correspond to those shown in Ads Manager. Unfortunately, Meta frequently changes how these statuses work without updating related documentation or notifying API partners. As a result, we have to verify each specific status with Meta representatives whenever we notice something unusual. This issue affects all services working via the Meta API in the same way.
