If you want to switch the profile used to connect your Meta assets in Bïrch to a Meta Managed Account (MMA), you can do so in just a few steps.
Follow the instructions below to move your ad accounts, Facebook Pages, and Instagram accounts to the MMA connection without disrupting access in Bïrch.
Step 1: Connect the MMA profile to Bïrch
The MMA account holder should go to the Integrations page and click: Profiles → Connect Profile → Personal profile.
You’ll then be taken through the standard Meta authorization flow. Once authorization is complete, all ad accounts and Pages the MMA has access to will appear in Bïrch.
To ensure that both current and future ad accounts and Pages can be managed in Bïrch, we recommend selecting the “Opt in to all current and future pages/accounts” option.
Step 2: Switch the connection from the current personal profile to the MMA
Once the MMA profile is connected, it will appear as an available connection option for all ad accounts, Facebook Pages, and Instagram accounts it has access to.
You can then switch each asset from its current personal profile connection to the MMA profile. Go through your ad accounts, Pages, and Instagram accounts, and update the connection for each asset individually.
Step 3: Remove the old personal profile from integrations
Once all assets have been switched to the MMA profile, you can remove the old personal profile from the Profiles list.
Do not remove a personal profile until all assets connected through it have been switched to the MMA profile.❗
Otherwise, any ad accounts, Facebook Pages, or Instagram accounts still using that profile will lose their connection to Bïrch, which may result in service disruption or loss of data.
Before removing a profile, you can quickly check whether it is still being used by filtering your ad accounts, Pages, and Instagram accounts by profile.
