This error is returned directly by the Meta API – it is not generated by Bïrch. It means Meta's automated systems have flagged some part of the ad creative as non-compliant.
Why it happens
The creative has been flagged by Meta as non-compliant. This is a decision made by Meta's own security/review systems, not by Bïrch.
A gap between the Meta API and Ads Manager. What's available or allowed when posting directly through Ads Manager on Meta isn't always available or allowed via the API. If a creative is flagged this way, it generally cannot be published through the API – even if it looks fine on Meta itself.
What to try
Give it some time. This can sometimes be a temporary API-side issue. Waiting a while and retrying the same publish has resolved it before without any other changes needed.
If it persists, try publishing directly via Meta Ads Manager. Create the same ad directly in Ads Manager rather than through the API. If it publishes successfully there, this confirms the block is specific to the API path.
If the issue persists
If retrying hasn't worked and the ad also fails to publish directly in Ads Manager, please reach out to our support team with:
